   "description": "We have developed a mobile-based application called mCARE, primarily designed for the treatment and care of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and supported by an NIH grant [5R21MH116726-02]. A total of 300 parents of children with mental health issues have been recruited to build a database and implement the system. We developed this project target to collect data by using a mobile phone obtained from the parents of children with autism rather than a physician. We have developed an intelligent and scalable digital platform to (a) facilitate early diagnosis and interventions, (b) provide intelligent monitoring through the 'Deep Learning' model of Artificial Intelligence, and (c) combat the social stigma associated with these disorders based on Human-Computer Interaction framework of 'Feminist Design'. By analyzing both the quantitative and qualitative data analysis of mCARE, we observed some findings: (a) children's demography can impact the development of their milestone parameter, (b) we can predict the children's development level by providing their demography to ML models, (c) mCARE tool can play an important role for the remote resource-limited LMICs area even in the lockdown period like due to COVID-19 pandemic.",

Our innovative VoiS system, distinct from traditional mHealth applications, accepts voice commands, allowing users to input markers of diabetes and hypertension control via a smart speaker (Alexa). Our focus has been on seamlessly integrating motivational strategies and self-management theory with mHealth tools, aiming to bring about a transformative change in patient behavior. We have successfully developed and outlined the architecture of a prototype voice-activated self-monitoring application, VoiS. Unlike conventional mHealth applications that depend on textual input, our VoiS system is designed to accept voice commands. This allows users to verbally input markers of diabetes and hypertension control through a smart speaker, receiving real-time feedback based on these markers.    "description": "We have developed and design a novel mHealth based platform, named “dDream” to monitor vital sign from fingertip and facial video. It currently possesses the capability to measure heart rate, oxygen saturation from facial video analysis, and a range of biochemical markers including hemoglobin, creatinine, HbA1C, and respiration rate, all derived from fingertip video analysis. This platform will also assist care provider to monitor their patients remotely and non-invasively. We also built hardware interfacing with deep learning pipeline to capture figure-tip video and predict vital signs (i.e., hemoglobin level, creatinine, GFR, and CrCl levels) using a smartphone camera with a novel figure-tip box. To predict the vital signs by dDream, a deep transfer model was developed to generate the Photoplethysmography (PPG) signal from the captured figure-tip video. We also experimented with the optical and magnetic properties of blood cells, which determine the photomagnetic effect on red blood cell domination to predict the white blood cells counts. The trial featured two arms: Arm 1 provided remote, synchronous Brief Action Planning coaching, while Arm 2 offered similar coaching focused on chronic disease management. The impact of the intervention will be assessed through objective data from Fitbit devices. This research is funded partially by partially funded by NOH.",

Fingertips are recommended for data collection due to easy access, use of three different NIR lighting sources, specific signal processing techniques, and region of interest selection methods. Theoretical foundations can be applied for identifying blood constituent levels non-invasively.",

The diagnosis was made based on the first wheeze attack in healthy children below two years of age. The study found that most children were born term, with ABW, and by normal vaginal delivery. Most were rural, with illiterate or slightly educated parents and poor parents. Clinical features included cough, respiratory distress, feeding difficulty, and fast breathing. Radiological features included increased translucency, interstitial markings, hyperinflation, and streaky densities. The main treatment modalities included antibiotics, oxygen therapy, nebulised salbutamol, and intravenous fluid. Most children were discharged with improvement, with 2% mortality. Not a single case was diagnosed outside Dhaka, with cefrtiaxone and parenteral steroids being the mainstay of therapy.",
